Eligibility
Classes are open to all adults who are at least 18 years old. Piedmont Adult School reserves the right to refuse admission
to anyone.

Registration
  • Pre-registration is a must unless otherwise specified.
    Early registration is encouraged.
  • We do not accept phone-in registrations.
  • All students are registered on a first-come
    first-served basis.
  • To register in person or by fax or postal mail, fill out the form in the Moonlighter or use our printable form.
  • For confirmation of classes, please send us a
    self-addressed, stamped envelope, otherwise no confirmation will be given. Consider yourself registered unless notified.

Four Ways to Register

1. Mail  Fill in the registration form from the Moonlighter or use our online printable form. Mail the completed form to Piedmont Adult School, 800 Magnolia Ave, Piedmont, CA 94611. Checks should be made payable to Piedmont Adult School.

2. Fax  Fill in the registration form from the Moonlighter or use our online printable form. Fax the completed form with your credit card information and signature to 510-595-8173.

3. In person  Register in person during our business hours. Pay by check, cash or credit card. Payment by cash or credit card is encouraged.

4. Online  Register by selecting courses from our online catalog. Registration begins at 9:00am the first day of registration.


Class Fees
Please refer to the class listing for the specific fees. Please note that registration and food fees are nonrefundable.

Senior Citizen Discount
All senior citizens (55 years and older), are eligible for a $5 discount for all regular adult classes. This discount does not apply to seminars (2-8 hour classes), traffic school and special classes.

Service Fee
A $25.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks and "payment stopped" checks.

Methods of payment
Pay by cash, check (payabale to Piedmont Adult School), money order, or credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Gift Certificate
Gift certificates for Piedmont Adult School classes are available for purchase at our office.

Books
Books required for classes are available at bookstores or through online vendors, such as amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. We will provide ISBN (book number) information when possible so that students can find and purchase books easily. Only a few books are available at the Adult School Office; we will note those particular books in the class details. Our book prices are subject to change. Books purchased through the Adult School are non-refundable.

Refund and Cancellation
No refunds will be given unless the class is cancelled. Please choose your classes carefully. Refunds are by check or credit only (no cash refunds). If you registered online, refunds for class cancellations will be done automatically by ASA.

Piedmont Adult School reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment.

Food fees and books are non-refundable.

Campus and Classroom Rules
No Smoking: The Piedmont Unified School District is a tobacco free organization and all of the school district's facilities are designated as tobacco free. Tobacco products are strictly prohibited.

Food and Beverages: Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the classrooms.

English as a Second Language
English as a Second Language (ESL) students may enroll anytime. For further information, call 510-594-2655.

State Supported Classes
This symbol is used to indicate classes that are state supported by student attendance. Students taking these classes will be required to fill out a simple form in class.

Receiving Duplicate Mailing?
If you have been receiving duplicate copies of the Moonlighter, please mail or fax us a a copy of the mailing label with
the corrections.

Driving Directions

From Berkeley/San Francisco:
Take freeway 580 south to Oakland/Harrison turn-off. Take Oakland Avenue approximately one mile (8-9 blocks) to Hillside. Turn right on Hillside. Continue two blocks to the stop sign which is Hillside and Magnolia. Bear left on Magnolia. Piedmont Middle School is on your right. Millenium High School is the second group of buildings. Piedmont High School is in the third group of buildings. Piedmont Adult School is located in the basement of the high school auditorium (Alan Harvey Theater).

From Downtown Oakland:
Take Grand Avenue pass the Grand Lake Theatre to Oakland Avenue. Turn right on Oakland Avenue. Continue approximately one mile (8-9 blocks) to Hillside. Turn right on Hillside. Continue two blocks to the stop sign which is Hillside and Magnolia. Bear left on Magnolia. Piedmont Middle School is on your right. Millenium High School is the second group of buildings. Piedmont High School is the third group of buildings. Piedmont Adult School is located in the basement of the high school auditorium (Alan Harvey Theater).

From Walnut Creek:
Take freeway 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel to Highway 13 to Hayward. Take the Moraga Avenue turn off for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left on Highland Avenue, approximately 1/4 mile to Oakland Avenue. Turn right on Oakland Avenue. Turn left on Hillside at the traffic signal. Continue two blocks to the stop sign which is Hillside and Magnolia. Bear left on Magnolia. Piedmont Middle School is on your right. Millenium High School is the second group of buildings. Piedmont High School is the third group of buildings. Piedmont Adult School is located in the basement of the high school auditorium (Alan Harvey Theater).

From Hayward:
Take 580 north to Harrison/MacArthur Blvd. Turn right on Oakland Avenue. Drive approximately one mile to Hillside Avenue. Turn right on Hillside Avenue and continue two blocks to the stop sign which is Hillside and Magnolia. Bear left on Magnolia. Piedmont Middle School is on your right. Parking
Parking is very limited. We strongly recommend car pooling. Please do not park in the "Resident Permit" parking spaces.
